Acronis Advanced Management: Cyber Scripting

In this video, we will show how to user Cyber Scripting capability included in Acronis Advance Management which increases IT administrator efficiency when performing repetitive/day-to-day tasks through automating the process with scripting, along with centralized management and monitoring from Cyber Protect Console on partner and end-customer level. You can reduce human-related risks for complex operations and start scripting with 40+ out-of-the-box, easily customizable – or you can create your own.

Built with security in mind:

➡ Unique: Remote execution with self-defense capability, meaning that the Cyber Scripting execution components are protected by Acronis’ anti-malware engine. Malware or any other malicious threats are not able to affect the script executor.
➡ Two-factor authentication is in place to secure the process of approving new and / or changed production scripts.
➡ The built-in credential store allows partners to keep credentials in a secure manner and leverage them for script run.
➡ All script operations are trackable thanks to a built-in audit logging.

Scripts can be run on-demand, on schedule, or when start conditions are met. Depending on the specific use case, partners can:

1. Quickly run an on-demand script by selecting it from the repository

2. Create a scripting plan for:

a) Repetitive tasks that can be easily automated with a scheduled script run.
b) Ad hoc tasks that can be run once and on demand.
c) Tasks that would require specific start conditions, e.g., workload goes online, fits the time interval, user is idle, etc.

Right after running a script, partners can check its status and gain complete visibility into its execution details by leveraging the same monitoring capability they use to track the status of the applied cyber protection plans.
