2020 Canada Day PNE

On July 1st, 2020 Due to the COVID-19 pandemic a traditional Canada Day celebration was not possible due to strict social distancing requirements. A innovative new approach was needed to along guests to celebrate the national holiday.

PRP was very proud to work alongside the team at the Pacific National Exhibition to stage a Drive-through Canada Day Parade. Implementing strict COVID-19 Safety protocols for staff and performers, the event welcomed over 1500 cars throughout the day. Non-stop continuous entertainment featured Logger Sports, Road Hockey, puppets, dancers and guest Cirque performers and a Piper. Guests decorated their cars, wore red and white and many younger guests made decorations and flags.

Once guests participated in the drive through parade, they drove through an all-Canadian Picnic where they could purchase some favourite Fair food including corn dogs, hot dogs, poutine, cotton candy, and lemonade. Then guests drove through a flag promenade as they exited the celebration.
