There is NO WAY the jurors have spent two weeks off and haven't seen anything about this. It's EVERYWHERE now, Google news, all over youtube. I mean, my YT algo knows I want the lawtube suggestions so I'm sure I get more than normal suggested to me, but even people at my job who don't know a thing about this case now know there have been 3 judges and that clip of the defense attorney wanting to be jailed with his client went viral. I just don't see how even the most careful person could avoid all the shitstorm of poor media coverage this court has gotten.

This whole trial is such a mess and so toxic that the Judge, I believe, wanted nothing to do with it. Just being tangentially involved would get it on her shoes, so she said, No, Thank You. Can’t really blame her, if I’m honest.

He's made a lot of sense about this case. And as your dad said, this could end in a mistrial. Why do I think this? Because I trust your father's judgment!

Mistrial - no Judges will take this case in Fulton County they all have to recuse. If it gets to The GA Supreme Court somehow with various ways of getting there I believe it gets tossed so quickly. Georgia wants this Embarassment Gone.

Bail is in the Constitution. One of the many things the legal system seems to have forgotten. Defendants are currently kept in jail for years without bail or with a bale they cannot afford... Often, not rarely, longer than the potential sentence for whatever they are accused of. Prosecutors and judges knowingly use this despite that being specifically the reason it was included in the Constitution.
A prosecutor saying people are involved in gangs of over there involved in drugs or anything else is not p a basis to deny bail. This also serves the financial interests of defense attorneys. The only legal reasons to deny bail his of the defendants are a threat to the community or a serious flight risk.

don't think this is a case of "Judge wanted an out, so she found an out." I feel like the potential conflict due to her deputy's behavior was big enough to be recusal-worthy irrespective of the judge's feelings on the case. She was probably happy enough to step aside, but I don't think she had to dig to find an excuse.

QUESTION: how can the jury in this case be expected to be able to follow the evidence and make a fair judgement? Not only is the trial very long, but also, they have taken several breakes. The current break will likely be months while the new judge is getting up to date on everything? I don't see how this can possibly be a fair trial
