Honestly, his hatred towards Loid is somewhat understandable. I mean, Yor just randomly reveals that she has been "married" to Loid for two years with a child without her brother's knowledge? His suspicions are completely understandable. Plus that Yor was basically his mother when she could barely mother herself. That'll make him believe she deserves the best husband out there.

Yuri doesn't mind if yor gets married, he just wants her to marry a good guy and when he heard she had a boyfriend he was excited to hear what the guy was like only to hear shes suddenly been married for years. He's suspicious of loid because of that. While yes he is obsessed w/ yor he isn't attracted to her romantically. I don't get why people keep misconstrueing this when he litterally flat out says his intentions

I think that’s how it definitely comes off to some people but I don’t that how it really is. I kinda see it in a similar sense of how a kid will become jealous and protective when his mom doesn’t spend time with him, or mom dating as taking his mother being taken away and scared because she’s in love with a man it means she won’t love him anymore. Sure most brothers don’t get their sisters flowers and stuff but it’s not odd or uncommon for a son to get their mother flowers. Yes they are siblings by blood but she raised him all by herself, their bond is closer to mother and child. I personally never even saw the siscon similarities until videos like this

When i watched the anime i didnt get the same feeling about him at all from my perspective he just wants to make sure the man that Yor marry is good for her since he cares so much for her. In the context that he only has her growing up i think it normal for him to want to make sure that she is honna be happy. Although i dont read the manga 🤔 so i not sure how different he acts there.

I haven’t watched much of season 2 and I’ve even skipped the last couple episodes in season 1 but honestly I think I can still speak for myself when I say that I hate these kind of characters, yors bro CAN be really cool n badass it seems but personally sickens me when there’s a character that gets all whiny and too obsessed with no one else mentioning it, would kinda be funny if maybe one time Anya gets fed up with her uncle a bit n maybe slightly mentions some stuff towards Loid especially since even without special powers kids can be brutally perspective n honest without a filter
