Stocks extended their year-to-date rally following the CPI report, with the S&P 500 last up 0.8% in afternoon trading. but I don't know if stocks will quickly rebound, continue to pull back or move sideways for a few weeks, or if conditions will rapidly deteriorate.I am under pressure to grow my reserve.

Bitcoin's value comes from the same place as gold - belief that it is a store of value. It all comes down to adoption and if that belief can completely get ingrained into everyone. Gold has this already completed because of its centuries-long history. It remains to be seen if bitcoin will succeed. It's not really an ethical question per se. I don't think British American or Altria or whoever is any more or less ethical than Pepsi or Tesla or any other company. People make their own choices. But tobacco has destroyed the health or directly killed half my family. I just can't do it.

I don’t have many stocks I would not invest in due to ethics, but tobacco stocks are definitely one. Not only is it a business in decline, but having multiple family members have (and some die from) lung cancer, I can’t do it. One literally was coughing out pieces of lung tissue in her final days 😢
