Coming out of facing alot, I knew two things about the stock market: It caused the Great Depression, and the fastest way to make a million on the markets was to start with two million. And then the Great Recession happened only a few years later. So yeah, I wish someone had better explained it to me earlier in life. Having a good entry and exit strategy will make you succeed in the stock market.

ATKR big cash cow remains EMT conduit. Despite recent acquisitions, I think current price is based on 2 reasons:
-the price of steel
-Over of high-priced stocking of electrical distributors
Price will rise after this rotation.

CVS: The difference with WALGREENS is that CVS is growing in the non-retail insurance services. Also a lot of CVS ‘ debt are leases. They are paying off the “real” debt. I feel the market does not have patience to wait for that, like with WBD. Indeed low ROIC and margins are concerning.

Atkore intrigues me. Love for you to do more content around it. There’s a big story over the next 20yrs+ around building out electrical infrastructure. First is carbon reduction/climate change. If you’re a believer or not I believe that trend will continue long term. Things like electric vehicles will add pressure to the grid. Cloud business needs data centre’s, as does AI and they are huge consumers of energy.

I got hammered on dg as it has been a core position for a few years, I use to work for their distribution network. I saw seemingly well run locations write off 30k in a month with corporate not batting an eye. Initially you might think that is a sign of mismanagement which it may be but looking at there gross margins compared to a kroger or wmt you see the strength of their business model. I’m not selling but adding to my position.
