LOGICAL OPERATORS
At the end of this video lesson, you are expected to:
1. Define the logical operators: negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional, and biconditional.
2. Identify the logical operator used in a proposition.
3. Perform different types of operations on propositions.

In this video lesson I learned that the logical operators, also know as connectives, are words or groups of words that combine one or more mathematical claims together to generate a new set of statements.Negation with the proposition NOT are the various logical operators.Disjunction with the proposition OR.Conjunction with the proposition AND.If p, then q is a conditional with the proposition.Last but not the least, there is biconditional, which has the proposition if and only if.

In this video lesson I learned about the logical operators. A logical operator is a symbol or word used to connect two or more expressions such that the value of the compound expression produced depends only on that of the original expressions and on the meaning of the operator.

What i learned from this lesson is that there are operations involved and propositions are the operators are also called connectives is a word that combines one or more mathematical statements to form a new mathematical statements and i also learn from this lesson is what are logical operators in logical operators in could negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional and biconditional wherein negation of a proposition p is denoted by ~p which is read as "not p", conjunction of the propositions p and q which is denoted by p^qand read as "p and q", disconjunction of propositions p and q is denoted by pvq which read as "p or q", Conditional of propositions p and q is denoted by p-->q which read as "if p, then q" or "p implies q", Biconditional is denoted as p<->q or "p iff q" even propositions or components p and q it is read as p if and only if q.

In this video lesson I learned the different logical operators such as negation, conjunction, disjunction, conditional, and biconditional. In negation of a proposition, it is denoted by ~p which os read as "not p". Whatever your truth value on your first column is totally the opposite of your second column. Next, in conjunction of proposition, it is denoted by p^q which is read as "p and q". If p and q are both true, then your p^q will be true. If either one of your p or q is false, then the result will be false and if both p and q are false, then your resulting value will be false. Moreover, in disjunction of a proposition, it is denoted by pvq which is read as "p or q". Its truth table is the same with conjunction. In conditional of a proposition, p->q will be used which is read as "if p, then q" or "p implies q". Its truth value is also the same with conjunction. Lastly is the biconditional of proposition which is denoted by "p iff q" or p<->q and is read as "p if and only if q". In its truth table, if p and q are either both true or false, then its truth value will be true and of either one of p or q is false, then the truth value will be false.

In this Video Lesson, I learned that in conjunction the symbol ^ is equivalent to "or". In negation, - is read as "not". Symbol v is equivalent to "or" in disjunction.
The symbol -> is equivalent to if and then in conditional.
And lastly, in biconditional the symbol <-> is equivalent to "if and only if.

In this video lesson I learned that there are types of logical operators such as negation operator the simplest logical operator which is denoted by ~, the next logical operator allows us to state an expression for two propositions to be true it is called the conjunction operator and is denoted by ∧, the third logical operator is called the disconjuction operator and is denoted by V a disconjuction allows us to express alternatives, next is the conditional it is very important in mathematics since most mathematical statement are expressible in this form, lastly, the biconditional which we can derive from two conditional propositions.
