This is VERY helpful for modular assets and 3D printing

Exporting Hi-res meshes is no problem just re-topo in Maya or Topogun or another package and its good to go.

What about export the tessellation and scale in substance painter? To keep the texture.

So now we'll be able to export, then reimport, then bake the geo to a flat plane to get ray casted Normals and AO?

There seems to be a hard cap on how dense a mesh you can export, is that correct? It seems like it stops at 20 mil. polys? Is there a way to get around this cap?

What a hugeeee time saver! No more zBrush involved.Imagine trim sheet, then modular parts ready for import and just a retopo and you're done! Ty for this :) Also with that feature ready in place is it a lot to ask for a quick breakdown of a wall or window material like this? :)

maya has a function called reduce polygon weight tool if im not mistake, it can control geometry polygon distribution by a mask map,so i think if substance designer polygon can be control by a mask texture,it will be very awsome

Now i finally know how to convert textures into 3d meshes. Will we also get it for Substance Painter?

If this was possible to do in unreal workflow for meshes same way as materials it would be a game changer... “import as mesh”

I love you guys. I've been looking for exactly this feature for a while now!
Only thing I'd love more than this is applying more detailed geometry to a 3D model..
Is that a thing?
