Great review. I’ve bought a 2019 Sportage 4 1.6 CRDi and I am very pleased with everything 😊

Great review and good to see the normally aspirated 1.6 petrol being reviewed. I recently bought a new version 2018 Hyundai Tucson with the 1.6 petrol engine in SE Nav trim. It's amazingly quiet at normal revs and although not fast, it's easy to keep up with traffic. For heavier loads I suggest the new diesel 1.6 might be a better bet.

I had a 16 plate 1.6 2 which was great, we drove to the south of France with no issues but just upgraded to a 19 plate edition 25 which is much much better. Bigger screen, keyless entry, collision control, 360 camera, blind spot assist and electric hand brake.

Got one if these identical colour and engine as the one in the video its the 2019 1.6 gdi petrol isg2 model in infra red had it nearly 6 weeks and loving it, so nice to drive and comfy and roomy an looks great too, i drive 10 miles to work every day and get between 48 and 55 mpg, best ive had is 63 mpg so far and even get 40mpg in town traffic driving only, not a quick car by any means but it keeps up with traffic no problem and has enough power for overtaking lorrys no problem, very good family car and its great for my camping trips with the mountain bikes in car too, all the car you need i love it and really love the look of this car from all angles, grille an lights look amazing too 😍👌👌

They look great and they are cheap to run. They drive OK too. What more could you want? Well lots of things actually but it is really smart all the same.

I recently got a petrol 21 plate Sportage 2 1.6 the reason was I am no longer doing the miles, I wish now I had stuck with the diesel, great if your driving flat roads but when you come to hills it is woefully under power, with a diesel I could fly up hills in 4th or 5th gear in the Sportage its 2nd or third gear and that's when it drinks fuel.

Old video, but I will give my comment here for the fluture buyers. Had one of this car, a GTLine, 1.6L, TGDI. Bought it in Oct 2019, sold in Jan 2021. Only problems with it. 2 turbos gone in 24 k km, engine was stopping by itself at idle speed, after a resoft the fuel consumption skyrocketed to 14 l/ 100km, on the forward bumper air difuser the paint was peeling off, prone to schratches. Poor quality plastic in the luggage compartment. Automatic gest box 7DCT was changing speeds continously when was not necessary. All in all a bad experience for a brand new car at a 33 k E. Think twice before you buy one.
