How To Change The Opacity Of A Layer In Procreate For The iPad

Despite my newfound love for Procreate's iPad app and the world of mobile design it has opened me up to, the app does have some quirks that can be perplexing at times. One of which would be changing the opacity of a layer. All you have to do to change the opacity of a layer in Procreate is tap on the layer with two fingers, which will activate an opacity slider. However, this feature is somewhat hidden in that it's not indexed in any of the menus or interface in any obvious way.

I figured it out. A visual with fingers showing where to tap with 2 fingers would really help others. You have to actually tap onto the blue layer tab with 2 fingers. I was tapping onto the image. Hopefully this comment will help others.

I have been looking at so many of these videos. I have a brand new ipad with new download of procreate and the "Opaque" message at the top of the screen doesn't ever appear for me. I have tapped on layers and then 2 fingers and I just can't get it to appear. Any additional help would be very appreciated. Thank you so much!

I’m having trouble changing one of the types of opacities within my layer. I chose the darken option but when I go to combine that layer with another layer that setting does not save. Any tips?
