I use the wingman everyday at work for minor pump repairs and other minor fixes on my rig.... I found the wingman on clearance at Home Depot for $19.99 and bought three... I used the first one for over a year and only gave it up and opened the second one because we had a newb I thought could use one... Solid product!

nice review! You did forget the "wire strippers" that are at the bottom of the bottle/can opener. :)

Thanks for the tip on the scissors. I was really disappointed at first when I thought they had no spring.

Awesome video! Bought this 6 months ago. This is my first multitool and couldn't figure out how to pull out the tools. Than you!

+1 for wingman.. I have a charge TTi which in Australia I think I paid about $200+ for.. compared to my $50 wingman.. I love the wingman. I'm going to put a S30V blade on my wingman. The spring loaded pliers are such a good selling point, and I love the outward facing scissors which are very good for the price of the tool. I love it and I think it's my favorite althought he Charge TTi is beautiful.

leatherman provides very few spring loaded pliers, you can use sandpaper to rough up the edge of the handle to get better gripness.

Video is nice and smooth on my end. No issues at all, bro. I had a Wave which was fantastic but got lost somewhere after camping. I keep a cheapie in my truck but need to get one that a little more durable. Thanks for the review and the link.

Like this video, as I recently bought the Wingman, and I love it! Only thing I would like to stress is the package opener. If you've never used it you wouldn't know, but it is extremely, extremely sharp. Bought a small screwdriver with the Torx drivers today, because I needed another T-10 to hold one screw as I adjusted tension. I opened the package with the opener, which works exceptionally well, so well that it slipped through what I was cutting faster than I expected and I sliced my finger open. Not a serious cut, but please be careful, it is very, very sharp. I love this multitool, and your video!

What framerate and shutter speed are you using? Video seems very choppy. Considering your arsenal it should be butter smooth, even on Youtube. Or is it such after encoding? Not trying to be smart its just a thing I have noticed a time ago but was nearly sure it will go away.

I was surprised at your comment below that the wingman is not edc legal in the U.K. Wow! It's a shame the U.S. is heading in that direction too. Great review. Leatherman sent me the Wingman as a replacement for a broken "kick". At first, I was angry. 10 minutes of fiddling with it and I was hooked. To me, it marked a new level of technical and artistic integrated design (whatever that means). I don't get how so many people berate it...I love mine

It's hard to decide but all of these are awesome multitools, I carry super tool 300 on truck, wave on car, and waiting for skeletool in my pocket as edc, when out riding bike nice little tools to have around, but trying to collect them all of them buying one at the time I even have some Gerber like crucial and they do the job in small repairs but latherman way nicer for me, !

sounds like we have a lot in common mate! I'm a photographer who is also into knives/multitools. Funny that I own both of the tools shown in your video (same finishes as well). i love my SOG for heavy duty jobs. Nothing beats that compound plier action! i also have the mini SOG multitool (in silver)...so i you want something more pocketable, i would suggest giving that one a try.

Would you prefer this leatherman or the wave? What is the main differences between the two?

Open the scissors until it locks to engage it fully. They're actually really good.

Great review Nitsan. I personally carry a Leatherman Skeletool CX and love it. If you like small, light weight tools I recommend checking it out.

I am deciding between the Wingman and Sidekick at the moment, down the road I may consider a more expensive option such as the Wave also by Leatherman.
The sidekick is nice but you loose the scissor function with that one.

This was my first pocket knife. I got it when I was 12.
