9:07 - revolution happened already in 1989, Czechoslovakia was not communist between 1990-1992

It can be pretty confusing for foreigners:
ČSR (1918-WWII) = original Czechoslovakia (capitalist), there was also second republic, third republic and protectorate, but that would be too complicated
ČSR (1948-1960) = Czechoslovak Republic, already communist, but they still didn't change the name
ČSSR (1960-1989) = Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
ČSFR (1990-1992) = Czech and Slovak Federative Republic (we were not able to even agree on name of the country, that's why it's not officially called Czechoslovakia, but Czech and Slovak Federative Republic, Slovaks wanted to get rid of name Czechoslovakia)
ČR (since 1993)
SR (since 1993)

13:00 - no, ticket in Czech is not "seto" or something, I have no idea what she was trying to say, maybe she was trying to say something in German or Russian because these are the most often tourist nations in Karlsbad, at least before war in Ukraine.
Ticket (like for concert) is vstupenka
ticket for public transportation (generally) is jízdenka
sometimes you can say lístek in common Czech as universal word for all tickets
and ticket for airplain is letenka, no ceto or seto or something, I have no idea what she meant. 🙂

I was in Karlovy Vary back in 2013. Absolutely loved it. Out of all the countries I’ve visited, the Czech Republic still ranks at #1, because I loved everything about it.

Charles the 4th was not just king of Bohemia, he was the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire! From Germany to Rome and everywhere in between. Karlovy Vary isn’t the only town dedicated to him, others include Croatian towns Karlovac and Karlobag, and many others

Very cold in the UK too. Slow start to spring :( yesterday I drove through the Yorkshire Moors national park and the temperature gauge hit 4 Celsius.

Wow it honestly looks like a miniature version of Prague with less graffiti and way less people! Absolutely beautiful!

No it's not a hot river. It's just warm. Literally, that's the name of the river, Teplá means warm. It used to be warm when the hot springs drained directly into it.

Thank you for this tour. Karlovy Vary is a great spa centre. A lot of famous people visited this town, among them Goethe, Beethoven, Chopin, the Russian Tzar Peter the Great. Do not hesitate to go to Cesky Crumlov. This town is a touristic centre, UNESCO heritage and is famous for its castle and arcitecture.

It’s great to see you Gabriel! When visiting Slovakia I would most definitely recommend visiting the Tatra mountains. You can take a tram ( Zubačka ) from Štrba to Štrbské Pleso. It’s like a small Swiss paradise but much cheaper. From there you can go to Tatranská Lomnica where you can take a cable car to the Lomnický Štít, an observatory at the peak of the High Tatra Mountains. Good Luck!

I was three 1996, the swimming hall by the mountains was a great experience. You can swim inside and outside, while swimming outside you see the whole city, really nice. Really nice city overall!

This town is so beautiful, love the old buildings, such amazing architecture. The music at the beginning of the video was so soothing and suited the vibe. Yep there are so many ways you can go, but if you do decide to go to Germany I can recommend Dresden, beautiful city. Thanks enjoying the visit to Karlovy Vary😊❤

Karlovy Vary are most busiest during the International Film Festival that is hosting a lot of Hollywood stars. I was there in 2005 for the Premiere of Broken Flowers directed by Jim Jarmusch and I met L.Q. Jones in the corridors of my hotel smoking cigar. Also Sharon Stone was there as a guest at the festival and she was walking around with her sister on the same streets like you.
