I dont think the story is as complicated as people say, the only reason its "complicated" is beacuse the games are released in non chronological order and on various systems.

Even if they did, they had to not include any of the Disney characters in Sora's final smash. And his DLC stage would have to be something that isn't Disney-related and not even put Disney characters as background characters in that stage.
