Rotating the Benchy 45 degrees helps on a CoreXY, because the hull length is now divided by SQRT(2) for the A and B motors.

I actually rotate the infill angle instead of rotating the model because I have a bed slinger. I line up all the lines along my X-axis because the print head weighs way less than the bed and real world performance is increased

Really helpful content! Do you have any plans for an electronics / initial setup build video?

I was considering building a v0, but realized the same as you that quality goes out the window with these concessions. I think the speed boat race rules have been maxed out and the next frontier is dual nozzles. Fine nozzle for external perimeter, huge one for everything else.

Amazing! Is it possible to get a similar speed with marlin?

i cant figure out how to download the klipper time estimator, it says i need to enter this command: $ chmod +x klipper_estimator into the github terminal, so i do but it says "No such file or directory" when I click enter, how do i fix this?

Thank you for this! I was hitting a wall with the slicer! 13 min was the best i could get....

Turning off retraction means you don't end up with an actual benchy, but instead you end up with a blob approximating a benchy

irm-31 built a bigger version, right?

What model of Benchy do you use? There are lots of variations out there.

So many factions within every interest group of 3d printing so it was a very interesting video in my case regarding new information, Someday I may even get to it and may print a Benchy but if my 100 can eventually print 5 times faster than my CR10 it would be a very interesting result - 10 times we will see as my CR10 prints perfect commercially saleable parts at 80mms so I'm looking forward to that day very much just for prototyping when my printers are tied up and for quick results rather than results that have to be printed overnight - boring

I just had to be that Looks like a blob of plastic. It should resemble a benchy a litte bit more than this imo
