Happy Anniversary! It has been five years since The Lace Mill opened its doors and brought a new spark into Midtown Kingston. Meet Frank Waters, one of the original residents who discusses the impact artist housing has had on his life in the last five years.

RUPCO reconstructed an abandoned, century-old factory into 55 affordable rental apartments, preferenced for artists, in midtown Kingston, NY. Viewed as both a housing complex and an economic development effort, this feat has been widely embraced as an essential anchor for the arts community and “creative placemaking” efforts that have seen national news publications label Kingston in the top 10 places in the United States for artists to live.
