The light panel is set up that way so you don't absent-mindedly turn on the lights and give away your position. You actually have to put effort into it.

Hey Matt, the reason those joints on the driveshaft are that small is becasue the portal axles have roughly a 2:1 gear ratio. Therefore the torque on the drifeshaft is only half as much as in a conventional driveline, anyways they still broke.

Fun fact... The mechanical master light switch is one of the oldest interchangeable parts in the military. It has been in service since WW2!... and it still works better than the new push pad led one. 😂 TM 9-2320-280-10 is all you need out there Matt! Great job on a the recovery! US Army Ret.
