I had to stop the movie "Bruised" just to listen to this song in it's entirety. Because just like the movie, it brings you in solidarity with pushing past that moment when you can go no more...that moment When you can't take no more.

This movie has every trigger you can imagine. So if you are not ready to heal don't watch it, cause you won't make it to the end (you will give up).

Although the entire soundtrack is all girl... This is the anthem that stood out for me as a "keep going song for both men and women. You can exchange the words (like we do when the sex described in a song is not applicable) and it becomes an anthem for us all.

I'm going to repeat this because I mean it:

THIS MOVIE HAS ALMOST EVERY TRIGGER THAT MAKES US SELF-SABOTAGE!!!

Don't watch it if you are not ready to heal from your shit.

We imagine life could have been better if our parents had just...

But it's not about them, it's about you. Every egregious F'd up thing that ever happened to you in your life prepared you for every obstacle. I promise you.

I thought I had it, but I cried at things that were not resolved in me.

And triggers are Automatic. Without our knowledge they make us react to an act that happens so long ago, we look crazy. A trigger can automatically bring back a voice in our heads or a reaction that is not even timely.

That's what I learned from this movie.

And although Halle Berry is one of my favorite actresses, I only watched the movie, before I had a chance to watch 'Dune', because I was so tired of them putting dumb ass wigs on her and making her look poor. I wanted to bash wardrobe but ended up praising make-up on this movie.

And I want to apologize to you, Halle. I get mad at you for taking these roles that I know are beneath you. But I am wrong. Every movie that makes you some poor woman and does not show your beauty end up being dope! Because you earned that Oscar! I apologize for ever doubting that your team know you could deliver. I DO. I APOLOGIZE!!!!

Seeing you with a black eye on that preview made me mad. But experiencing the story made you more beautiful than ever to me. I pray one day to interview you so we can talk about the difference between the beauty outside and inside of a character because you deliver both.

And because of this movie, I am inspired to do things like exercise because I don't look bad, but I could use my work (I joke that I laugh to get abs (#true), say I workout once a month, and even brought my grands in on why are potato chips glutens free). And after finishing this movie I will get back on social media and do my best (one post every day) and stop being guilty because I truly let two clients down (after 20 years in business), and that's so long a story for another day.

But winning is as automatic as losing. It;s all a state of mind and where you are in the universe at the moment. failing does not mean you never succeded. it means you must keep trying.
