The biggest mistake I saw here was getting behind the Jeep while it was being pulled out - there was no reason for that, and if anything happened to the line (slipped off the ball, snapped), he'd be getting run over. Now that would be traumatic.

Kudos to the Dodge Ram owner who knew the capabilities of his truck and his ability to get the most from it. A rare combination, at least in north Texas (of course around these parts, most of us are going to look for a tractor to pull something out of the "wet").

I don’t know if saved the Jeep was the right phrase. They moved a total loss from one location to another is more accurate.
