It is the same for rape survivors. I survived being drugged tortured, & raped by a man I trusted & went on to still build strong relationships with other men. But, sure, I need endless "warnings" so that a bunch of sheltered women discussing rape statistics won't accidentally break my fragile psyche. It's infantilizing.

About 5 years ago, I decided to stop watching films with weak lame female stereotypes. The incompetent insecure woman. Even in supposedly pro female movies eg. Charlie's Angels, the women are absolute Dicks.

And it turns out there are VERY FEW movies with a decent female character. Joseph Gordon Levitt films have some cool girls.

Zooey Deschanel plays some cool characters. But the majority of women in movies are unbearable and I wouldn't even want to be friends with them!

Especially the male movies like Bond films and action films that usually have one hot girl who's essentially a dickhead.

I'm a female migrant WOC and I'm just waiting for one character I can either align with, or at least respect !

This stereotyping is sad and confusing to men too.
