LOVED AND HATED HARMONY OF THE SEAS
When @RoyalCaribbean Harmony of the Seas debuted in 2016, the ship featured brand-new public spaces and amenities. Now, 7 years later, how does the ship measure up to her sisters? In this honest cruise review, we share everything about Harmony of the Seas.

Our Royal Caribbean Harmony of the Seas cruise review details our experiences on a 7-night Western Caribbean and Perfect Day at CocoCay itinerary. Highlights of the trip included the main dining room. We have more to share on this in an upcoming video, but we enjoyed many aspects of the new MDR menus. Actually, I was a fan of the new Indian dishes on the menus each evening. Plus, our waitstaff was fabulous.

Specialty dining was also top notch during our recent cruise. We dined at Jamie's Italian and Wonderland, and both the food and service were spectacular. Although, the casual eats on the ship did fall a bit short for us.

The outdoor spaces, including the pools and sports deck, were pretty typical for a Royal Caribbean Oasis Class ship; however, we did miss the Caribbean-inspired décor found on newer ships in the fleet. We do enjoy that most of these amenities are complimentary including the waterslides, the Ultimate Abyss, zip line, and more.

For this Harmony of the Seas review, we stayed in a balcony cabin. While it did show slight signs of wear, it had the newer Royal Caribbean color palette and plenty of storage space for this week-long voyage.

Like most Royal Caribbean mega-ships, Harmony of the Seas featured signature productions. There were two main theater shows, Grease and Columbus The Musical. There was 1887 in the Studio B ice rink as well as another non-reservation show iSkate. In the Aqua Theater, there was the Fine Line diving show along with the non-reservation show Big Daddy's Hideaway Heist. These productions are always a step above the competition.

Nightlife and bars on the cruise ship were the standard Royal Caribbean lineup. For this cruise review, we tested out all of the lounges. As always, we loved the performers (and drinks) in the Schooner Bar as well as the acoustic guitarist in the English pub. There was also the house band in Dazzles, a Latin band in Boleros, and other live musical acts. All the parties and parades are back as well, including the Crazy Quest, midnight balloon drop, silent disco, and more.

Unfortunately though, the cruise director and staff weren't all that present during the trip like some other competitor lines. Thankfully, we can report in this Harmony of the Seas review that the service team were fantastic. From Darius, our stateroom attendant, to Mr. Oliver and Giovanni in Café Promenade, these crew members took great care of us. In the main dining room, Rohman and Tude were some of the best servers we have ever had on a cruise ship.

Overall, Harmony of the Seas offers a great vacation option for a ship of its age. When comparing it to newer fleet members, it still has many bells and whistles. While the pool deck and staterooms could use some updates, it is still a great choice for your next family vacation. It is also a considerably cheaper option than newer vessels like Wonder of the Seas.

Only thing I disagree with is the casual
Eats lol I thought the windjammer for a buffet was very good. Sorentos was good but if you go into it expecting the best pizza of your life then you’ll be disappointed.

Great review - I love the honesty of all of your cruise ship videos. It's refreshing when it's not sugar coated. I'm taking a Transatlantic on Oasis of the Seas. Having never been on an Oasis class ship, reviews like this are a nice teaser to actually getting onboard one. Thanks again and keep up the great work. 👍

My very first cruise was this past January on Harmony and I absolutely loved it. I didn’t expect much so I got more than I bargained for. I am a people person so getting to know the staff was my Favorite part

The only cruise I've ever done is Disney about 18 months ago. Going on Harmony here in a few weeks. I'm concerned with all the changes post pandemic with things seeming so much cheaper, except for the ticket prices. Nonetheless I'm hoping for a good experience because I would like to make cruising a part of my regular vacation time with family. Thanks for this review. Well done.

Thanks for the review. My biggest concern about the ship is lack of storage in the cabins. There is barely enough space for 2 people. The bedside tables are a huge fail as well. I’ve seen window sills with more storage. Clearly the storage in the cabins was designed by a single person who dresses minimally and has no children. I am also a fan of closed storage as it keeps the cabin tidy. The colors in the cabin are nice but don’t make up for small amount of storage. I prefer the cabins on the Freedom, Voyager and Radiance class ships.

If you see Agus in the bar, tip him well. He's my cousin-in-law from Bali. Do you know their pay is based on their country? ... they don't all make the same wage.

We have been assigned to deck three main dining. I know all three decks have the same menu. Do you know if one deck may be a better experience then the others? Thank you.

Now that we’ve sailed Disney, there’s no comparing entertainment, activities, etc. However, we don’t compare them, because it’s not apples to apples. Considering the alternatives that exist, this looks like a very enjoyable ship with tons of included amenities and activities. I honestly think, we some exceptions, my family would enjoy most any trip we put effort into researching and planning prior to going. Thanks for the info! We were about to do the NCL Prima due to its newness, but the grass isn’t always greener- this one has WAY more for our kids and family. We’ll have to do an NCL with more for the kids on our next one.

Is it true that the Solarium doesn't have a pool??? Does it just have hot tubs?
Great video! Thank you!

I'd say the complete opposite with dining. Casual dining was great while MDR was chaotic and long with paper thin steaks and OK lasagna.

Was this cabin next to the elevator? And if so was it noisy?
