My take on the Spanish almond cake or famously known as tarta de Santiago. This is a cake from Galicia and it is super easy to make, with only 3 main ingredients. I always feel this type of cake is just perfect for the holiday season. On top of that, this flourless cake is also a gluten free cake.

I made this cake twice. It’s unbelievable. (I added 1/2 teaspoon of almond extract)

Just made it! It is so fluffy and delicious. I put 110 gr sugar (mix cane and brown), and that's enough for me. And instead of lemon/orange zest, I put 30 gr of chopped walnuts. The perfect cake for evening tea. Thanks!

I just made this recipe and it's one of the best desserts I've tried. I didn't have the clementine zest and added 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract. My family loved it & I can't wait to make it again.

I just found your recipe and made this for the first time just now ( It's April 11 2020- amidst the covid 19 pandemic) I made it exactly how you did it with the exact same ingredients and it turned out. An amazing lemony, almond, lovely coffee cake.

I have made this 3 times. Quick and easy. Gluten Free.
Delicious as is. I served this with fresh seasonal fruits/yogurt topping.
Second time, toppled with slivered almonds, a great coffee/tea cake.

Delicious. I made this cake today in a small loaf tin as didn't have the right size round tin. I also added some almond extract. It came out perfectly and my husband loves it! Went really well with our coffee. Thank you!

This is a very tasty and moist cake, I didn’t change a thing about the recipe, and I think that it is fresh, with a light citrus 🍊 flavor. Delicioso!

I made this cake for a close friend's birthday and the group's reaction was "wow you need to open a bakery!"

I made a double quantity (6 eggs, 3 cups almond flour) for a 9 inch spring form pan and it turned out perfectly, baked at 350 F for 40 minutes. A couple of changes were that I swapped the cinnamon for cardamom, added some vanilla, and and reduced the sugar by 1/3. I also tried brushing the top with a simple syrup made with the orange juice leftover from the zested orange and it made it super moist and delicious. Highly recommend!

excellent recipe, we are making it on regular basis! very delicious, simple, easy to make and very healthy compared to other desert recipe. try with coffee in the morning! yes, add little of almond extract and/or vanilla extract. also a very small of baking soda to increase the volume and make it little more "fluffier". thanks for sharing!

Excellent. I added some crushed chunks of blanched almonds, about 1/4 cup. My guests loved it!

Such a great simple recipe!!! I've baked it some time ago and it came up just great. Now realised that substituting sugar with stevia or erythritol makes it very low GI cake which means it can be low carb & keto friendly! 🙌👏👌

💜💜💜The only thing l.did differently was adding crushed almonds & pistacio on top, it turned out beautifully! Cooked all the way through, citrusy flavors, & the hint of cardomam & cloves. Thank you!💜💜💜
