To be fair, considering that the Zonai arm can A. stick nearly anything together, B. fuse almost any weapons and gear with each other, C. allow him to ascend through flat floors, and D. rewind time. I’d probably be a little worried too if that thing got wet.

The entire overtone of TOTK is Link suffering from Gloom induced weakness. As strong as he is, Gloom annihilated his strength. He better isn't feeling buff right now.

It kind of makes sense. In Botw he's not a knight he's not a hero not a champion or at least he doesn't remember any of this. So Link actually acts differently from his past self.

But that's not the case in TOTK he's a hero who remembers everything and just failed to save something

In link's defense, The arm is very mysterious. Plus, it's been like 5-6 years. He's probably changed.

To be fair Link was ALONE in the first game, go ahead and admire yourself since youre bored, no ones watching anyone, but Rauru is with him constantly. It would be a little embarrasing for the hero of Hyrule that Zelda spoke so highly of to the first king, to just randomly start flexing when he knows a spirit dude can see him lol.

I find it a very honest detail that got changed, not really removed. He is an amputee now and got a new limb. Getting used to a prosthetic limb is very hard for people who have experienced limb loss. He kinda went from 'able-bodied gym bro' to 'person who has experienced major physical trauma and now has to live with something that obviously does the job but wasn't his to begin with'. That's why I wouldn't say it got "removed", it was rather "remodeled" to fit the situation Link finds himself in a lot better.

Link will actually shake his arm like that even when it isn't raining. I think it's just the first idle animation. Then the second one is looking at the arm. Though if a ghost swapped out my arm for a creepy magical, mechanical one I would certainly look at the thing *A LOT* !

Yeah well I’d do the same thing as Link if some bacon ass looking mummy obliterated my arm and some phantom voice tells me the new look of my arm is because of his ghostly looking arm, I’d too be worried if said “new” arm could make me sick or not
