I'm using ArchiCAD since version 4.1, and that new release is truly a joke

It was 4 years ago we tried ArchiCAD for 1project. and it was difficult to convince the users to continue using it with no help for Computational design and Automation for standard BIM tasks. So we standardized on Revit and today use Dynamo also which is so much better for our daily repetitive works. Thought this update might have included some computational BIM features, but disappointed to see the same old features patched here and there.

hope the morph tools / stair tools / Shell tools got more upgrate
& hope new archicad can let all the object allow the "Floor Plan Display" can choose "which floors u want to view for tat object " & "which floor u dont want tat object viewing" on yur plan
tis can solve many problems.

I don't want to be to hard on the graphistoft guys because looking back since I started using Archicad a lot of great improvements have been made! However the presentation of the new version is quite underwhelming and it was the same last year! The new search box is great and the layer grouping is also a much needed feature but it feels like Archicad should have had these features since the begining and it's really nothing to brag about! The other features might be useful for some, but not essential! There are other more important things that should have been fixed for years and they are not! It's a shame!

MY thoughts
the library maker, haven't we always been able to do that. the cabinets are in version 25 and they are crap over complicated and the sink cabinet only has one door and their ranges still suck, I'm using 19's cabinets. Circle thing what I can already grab circles. I do like the new level tool and the ability to grab more than one pdf at a time. all the other features are for large architecture firms. not us single person shops. Question is are there any engineers in Northern California who could use the structural info. I doubt it and even if you did the constant collaboration you would essentially have to have the engineer by your side to tell you what numbers to plug in. If it weren't for Mac changing its architecture i would not of upgraded from 22 to 25 and I've paid for 26 already but it looks like they are making it far more complex than needed for me.

Good improvements to Archicad, especially on the documentation side, the library part maker is also a good development, but we need to see how convenient it will be to use the tool. Archicad need improved tools and aids to allow us to accurately work mostly in 3d window while designing, the need for constantly moving back and forth from plan, sections and 3d windows somehow intermittently breaks the flow of design ideas.

I see Graphisoft is planning to maintain a subscription ONLY license model. 🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮. Archicad 26 was the weekest update to date and it is only getting worse with this model... thank you, but I won't stay to see another Autodesk move in the field. Glad for the warning.

ArchiCAD needs tools for point cloud management, especially to analyze and perform all kinds of processes with this technology. It is urgent that you make a good update in this regard. You are lagging behind, especially with these soft updates that mean almost nothing to the users of your software in general.

No interesting or useful updates since Stair & Rail tool. :(( Also is it just me, or is the manner of this presentation somewhat oversexualised by the choice of presenter and her mannerism? It's kind of distracting ... we're not selling luxury vehicles? The second lady is more professional, but then again, I can't help thinking about her fringe: her eyes seem to be calling for help from a dark forest.

While exporting a DWG file, the auto textes are not up to date ?!?!?!?!? It works only for pdf

ArchiCAD still does not have options with the point cloud theme... it is as if it does not exist for them that professionals today use this technology... a pity that they continue to ignore this. Revit is far ahead in this respect...sorry

A couple years ago I felt boastful smashing Revit users that they are just catching up, now the tables have turned. If ArchiCad lets the architect focus more on design then return to the basics of architecture with tools that do just that. Let archicad users conceptualize quicker and better within the sites context, then add some AI so we can have the concept parametrically done with different versions. I can go on and on. So bring that DESIGN theme that ArchiCad claims to do, just with AI added.

This is definitely the Best one of the AC26 presentations, by far. THIS should have been shown on the main event, where most of the presentations were dull at best. Congrats to the GS UK team.
