The top He was still just Wade. His power of regeneration wasn't activated yet so He HAD to protect himself. Also He was protecting His cohorts, and using the enemies bullets against them as He didn't have guns (I think) then. In the Bottom pic, He can regenerate, as He has His power, and He's wearing His Red "I don't care if I bleed, I'm wearing a red suit. They can't tell if I bleed!" Suit. 😂
