I think the elementary school sized pit was getting into the heads of the jumpers especially the guys. Anything north of 6ft is impressive at a backyard meet like this. Good job to everyone

Fun fact: Charles was only 2.25" shy of the women's world record for high jump (6'10.25") that's insane.
Of course, men's is 8' 0.25" which is simply bonkers.
