Travolta was destined to play Vincent Vega. Plus, it resurrected his career.

Travolta brought a self-effacing comedic touch to the role that helped keep Pulp Fiction from becoming too serious with itself. Also, Madsen and Willis are too similar in that they are both cool tough guys, but Travolta was able to play a role that complimented Jackson AND Willis while still being unique.

I love Madsen, but Travolta was BY FAR the best choice not only for the character of Vega, but for the film overall.

John Travolta absolutely nailed the role.

This movie is what brought John Travolta back! He is an incredible actor. It doesn’t matter what he plays, the man is always an exceptional actor.

I’d say it ended up working well haha. I can’t imagine anybody else in that role tbh.

As an old head; as soon as John started dancing it hit you again on why you loved Travolta. That was it. Bam, this dude is awesome. We all knew it. We just forgot.

The too cool for school attitude from the start got us ready to believe. John was Vincent. The dance scene just sealed the deal.

John frigging Travolta... he does smack and he smacks folks. Instantly beyond cool again.

Travolta is a damn good actor, I know nothing about him personally but I know that with the right direction he’s amazing.

Travolta brought a charisma and charm to the Vincent character. His performance almost makes it hard to Vincent as a stone-cold killer. We see Vincent as this charming, easy-going guy who simply has a job to do as a hitman. I feel like Madsen would’ve brought a much more cold and brooding feel to the character. The lines Travolta delivers that sound charismatic and lighthearted would sound dismissively sarcastic or even sociopathic coming from Madsen. More importantly, I don’t see Sam Jackson’s Jules being friends with Madsen’s Vincent like he is to Travolta’s Vincent.

Blow Out is a wild one. Kind of stale in the middle but the ending leaves you going “oof”

Madsen is too serious for that role, i cant see Madsen doing the twist. Nor could i see Travolta cutting a mans ear off and doucing him in gasoline.

Michael Madsen doing that little dance with Uma would have been unforgettable.

So technically Madsen would have played twins across two different movies? (Mr. Blonde's real name being Vic Vega)

I would love for tarantino to bring back every actor in his movies for the last one, even if it's a small part or cameo
