ADI-2 DAC Menu Walkthrough #03 - Input & Output

preview_player
Показать описание
The ADI-2 DAC I/O menu has all the settings for the three analog outputs: Line Output, Phones and IEM. Source defines which signal is fed to the analog outputs – USB, SPDIF optical or SPDIF coaxial. The submenu Parametric EQ mirrors the settings done in the graphical EQ screen.

Very great video! but I hope that there is a control panel for windows and mac so that the user can change their setting on computer and import those settings to the dac directly. The adjustment through the knobs and small screen on dac is relatively inconvenient.

Thank you for posting this helpful video. I am planning to acquire the ADI-2 FS this holiday season from Thomann.

I have been doing my research and am trying to understand how does the unit respond to quickly switching between monitoring the output via speaker outs and headphone out?

In my production flow I like to switch quickly between listening between my headphones and speakers, and I like to quickly adjust the volume.

Would I be able to do this with the unit? Would I be able to leave my headphones plugged in and quickly alternate between outputs, or to quickly mute the speaker output?

Kind Regards,

Hello, thanks for the info. The one problem I'm having is saving the B/T Enable. When the unit is turned off then back on I have to dive into the menus to re- enable it.

I had added a more powerful amp, using XLR, but not managed to get it to work yet. Very frustrating.

Thank you for this video. The RME is amazing. However, what is missing in this video is an explanation of how the different settings affect the sound. Telling us that you can set the Bass Q between a range of values is not enough. Tell me how the sound changes with the settings. Otherwise, I am left to experiment with a hundred parameters without any real understanding of what I'm doing, which likely results in mud. :-)

Hello, very helpfully video series and a great device !
Question;
Is there any type of indicator, within the menu, that shows (by somehow highlighting? ) which value is the default after it’s been changed ?
Or found by referencing the paper manual?
Thanks

How did you change from the settings page to the parametric eq page?

Hi,
I've just changed fron rca to xlr since my amp offer fully balanced xlr input.
I can't get the ref volume to 19dbu. I can only choose between -5, +1, +7, +13. It may not be an issue but I still wonder if a setting must be done for xlr.
Thanks

Is it possible to have the Balanced and Unbalanced Outputs connected to different devices at the same time?

I’m wondering if there’s either an option to manually switch between the line outs or if the DAC knows which line out is being used automatically.

Hello. Is it possible to use this as a preamp for a 2.1 sistem as in XLR to power amp and RCA to powerd sub at the same time? Thanks.

So what happens when you have all three outputs plugged in? IEM, Headphone and speakers? How does it decide what the main output is?

Would it be beneficial to run balanced XLR to RCA out as opposed to RCA to RCA? My Marantz receiver doesn't have an XLR input option. Thanks

Will it work fine without its power cord being locked (by twisting)? I want to do this intentionally in order to avoid damaging the power-cord or even the entire unit when accidentally stepping on the power cord.
