I want RME to make a field recorder. They are probably the most diligent and committed audio converter manufacturer out there and they would do amazing in the high-end field and production sound space 😻

Even if it’s just an ADI-2 with a Hirose jack or battery sled and timecode, that would already be incredible!

Is there any chance of ever getting TotalMix to run natively on the ADI-2 Pro or is it a different architecture? Obviously limited channel count but it would be useful to route inputs and outputs via TotalMix and do some channel strip work.

Hi Adrian, I own a Babyface Pro FS. wondering if I have to buy ADI-2 DAC FS or ADI-2 Pro FS R for best quality audio conversion and best quality headphone sound ? Also wondering how the sound conversion quality of Babyface Pro FS would be when compared to ADI-2 Pro FS. Kindly suggest. 

Also wondering if Babyface Pro FS has the same quality of headphone output as the ADI-2 Pro FS/ ADI-2 DAC.

Can I use the 3 band EQ in total mix + the Adi dacs 7 band PEQ to essentially have 10 bands?

So when I have outboard gear connected to my Fireface UFX III, can I use the DA converters of the ADI DAC when mixing with outboard gear? Or does my outboard gear will still use the DA converters of my Fireface?

i am thinking of getting the rode nt1a 5th gen, so i am guessing combined with the DAC FS for monitoring would be a pretty deadly combo

Great solution! I think this could be a nice upgrade for my AIO. Question: I would have to deal with roughly 10m for the cable. I like the idea of using the optical connection (no galvanic connection), but I am a little bit concerned regarding the 5m max (specs - not real life).
Long story short: Any experience related to optical vs coax? Thanks!!!

Very nice video. The new Studio looks good! Is there a way i can run a RME AIO Card with the RME Octamic Pre (Adat in) and use the DAC Fs as an aditional output on the Adat Outs of the AIO Card?

Thank you for posting this, really appreciated. I’ve been wondering how to do this for a while. One question: does the ADI only affect playback audio quality in this scenario? Or does it also “take over” for, say, two channels going into a DAW for recording? I ask because I have a DAW that enables 32-bit recording/exporting. The UFX II obviously does not support this but the ADI-2 Pro FS does. Am I still limited to going into the DAW at 24-bit even with this sync’d setup?

Hi adrian, today i asked thomann, why the UFX 2 and the UCX 2 are not listed anymore at thomann, the answer was, RME has Problems with delivering the Interfaces, and recomend me the UAD Apollo. Is it true that i cannot buy for the moment a UCX or UFC 2 ? best regards and where can i here Final Mixes Songs who are mixed with RME, i can nothing find on Yt or somewhere else any songs. Thanks

Hi! questions I have a Rme Fireface 802 & recently bought the Rme BabyFace Pro Fs since it has the new steady clock can I combine them and use the Fireface for IO and the Babyface for monitoring and as the main converter if that makes sense What do you think I should do?
