👉 Learn how to find the domain of rational functions. Recall that the domain of a function is the set of possible input values (x-values) of the function. For a rational function, the denominator cannot be zero. Thus, to find the domain of a rational function, we first find the values of x, for which the denominator is zero. This is done by setting up the denominator(s) equal to 0 and solve for the variable. The required domain of the function is the set of all real numbers except those values of x for which the denominator is zero.
