Mark Carney has been elected leader of Canada’s Liberal Party in a months-long, high stakes race to replace Justin Trudeau. While Carney will take over immediately as Liberal Party leader, Trudeau will remain as Canada’s prime minister for an as-yet undisclosed transitional period while his successor settles in. Number 1 - There is no fentanyl problem on Canada's end. Number 2 - More drugs, guns and migrants come across the Canadian border from the US than vise-versa. 3) It is the job of the US border patrol to control what comes across their border. The gaslighting is amazing.

American here. I am so ashamed! Canada is a friend, an ally and a trustworthy neighbor! Please let me refresh your memory….during 9/11 when President Bush ordered ALL airplanes to clear US airspace, there is this town in Newfoundland who put their lives on hold to accommodate ALL planes in US airspace to immediately land. People from this town, sprung into action and took in all the multitude of stranded people….fed them, clothed them, offer their homes for them, even entertained them. Families cooked whatever they had for every stranded person. I say, this is a testament to what kind of people Canadians are! What about during the Iranian crisis when the American Diplomats in Iran were in deep danger? Not a single foreign embassy would take them in EXCEPT the Canadian Embassy! They took them in, HID them, FED them, clothed them and yes! Even entertained them. Please FACT CHECK these and respond! God bless, Canada! Saudi here, as a support to our canadian frineds my wife, my 2 daughters and I have cancelled our holidays in the US, We had 3 weeks and 4 days booked and we intended to visit 12 states, We cancelled everything and we did lose 1200$ of deposit in different spots were we had reservations, instead we decided to go visit Canada and enjoy it. Its really sad that the American media paints all the western countries as bad as the us but im glad that i got to know that its the complete opposite there are so many western countries with amazing people and culture and im so happy and excited to visit them all whenever i can and to get to meet the nice people of all these countries, We are hoping to meet and enjoy the hospitality of the canadian friends for now. Honest question from a Canadian to an American not trying to be mean but "How stupid are you?" It's as clear as day this was never about fentanyl crossing from Canada into the US. The complete suspension of reality that an individual has to achieve to come to the conclusion that these tariffs were put in place to combat fentanyl is astounding.

It's time for the US to: 1) reduce the increasing demand for illegal drugs, including fentanyl; and 2) the US border guards to put more effort into catching the flow of drugs into their country. Don't always blame someone else.

I live on the border of Canada here in the US. I love my neighbors to the North. You couldn't ask for a better country to live next to. It pisses me off what Trump is doing here. I went the other night to a Raptors game in Toronto and let me tell you how humiliating it was when the American anthem was played and how we got bad mouthed because of Cheeto Man. Canada should always be its own country and not our enemies. If Trump wants out of USMCA, then just say so. There's better ways to go about this fiasco than being a bull in a china shop.

Trump is going to really hate this guy. Carney has attended both Harvard and Oxford, where he finished a PhD in economics. Spent a decade working for Goldman Sachs in New York, Tokyo, London, and Toronto. As well, he was Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England. Musk's guy, Poilievre, has a BA in 'international relations'.
