Try Planting just 2 random "sacrifice" plants out in front of the base in the center near the ramp sensors. Maybe by having just 2 plants Front and Center, will act as a measure to guarantee Raids will come in from the center. But you will have to sacrifice 2 plants every high level raid as they will be out in the open for the bots to destroy. But at least you'll know they will come from front center. Will be a cool experiment to try. Like so he can see!!!

give hank a gun. im sure in hank's ability to kill one boss atleast

and on a serious note: i don't know if this works but try to make a dummy/bait farm. make a 3*3 farm and maybe the boss bots target the small farm first. Also, do water turrets work on boss bots? because if they do maybe you can make sensors and water turrets so they get knocked automatically and then u can spuddle them. 3rd idea- why not make some temporary mines? one explosive can kill one boss. or maybe make a turret that shoots one explosive canister. it wud be hard to reload but, one boss can be long ranged( ik scrap mechanic is inconsistant so it would be hard but you can try).
Edit: Try making the tires the bigger ones, idea from @Crash 354 from the comments of this comment.

the bridge was being destroyed by boss running over it. and the boss bots might launch farther back now from the wheels because now the catapults are gone, i think they were hitting the catapults and stopping.
thats all i got

Add a warehouse key on critical raid components like one on the engine and one on any sensor or button even if it takes more space it means those parts are less likely to be hit by a boss. Drawbridge parts could use one too. Don't want a tapebot hitting the wrong place like the piston and giving all the other bots acces

Put a piston behind the ramps and make a way to push the bosses away when they explode

The devs should make the players to make “dummy drawfs(like a scarecrow)” so that the bots will go after it

Scrapman: He’s not ragdolled! Ok now he’s ragdolled. Oh no he’s not!
Me: on edge of seat
Ad: FOLKS, I’M GONNA SHARE A STOCK WITH YOU THAT GOES UP ON THE SAME DATE EVERY YEAR!

Boss traps ideas:
A) Explosion proof material. Maybe metal 3. Will be very expensive.
B) Death far from the trap: wheel traps, catapults, turrets. (Fall damage / range damage).
C) Corpse disposal via wheel traps or catapults. Basically when the boss dies you need to yeet it's corpse out. Seems inefficient.

Me: "Make a wall of warehouse keys in front of the base for ultimate protection."

In my head: "I don't think he can do it, plus the bouncy floor will be useless unless they got through."

Scrap man u can upgrade your base by building auto turrets in front of your base for the farm bots and for the regular hay bots and greenies you can just use your traps because their hitbox is lower than farm bot pls like so scrap man can see

Use tier 3 metal stairs instead of the ramps, the bots cant destroy it so they wont attack it

Maybe setting up posts outside covered in Warehouse Keys that are spread out far enough from each other to let Farmbots and Greenies through, but not Bossbots?

Great idea so great to the point everything you made is useless:

*breathes in*

*A WALL OF WAREHOUSE KEYS ON THE FRONT*

Edit: everyone says a wall takes too much and a fence is better

*bruh what did I mean*

When I saw the thumbnail "triple boss". I remember the raid from his old farm that had three bosses too 😂😁

They exploded your ramps in the front because you had the haybot leg/spine things right in front of the trap so they didn't travel far enough away to not explode the ramps

The base:oh your approaching me

The bosses: can't fight without getting closer

Scrapman (before the raid): where is those three bosses let me get 'em

Scrapman (after the raid): well that's a lot of damage

you should make a layer (in the front of the base) out of tier 3 metal i think that would help alot

Hi everybody, I just started playing Scrap Mechanic, really enjoying it so far. I ended up building my base on the roof of the mechanic station with a retractable elevator to bring me up and down, the robots can't destroy an "in-game" building so very little resources are needed for defense. I also found a tiny island about a minute swim away that has a small patch of earth on it that's suitable for farming, the haybots cannot spawn in the water and the totebots almost never are able to climb the sides, because it's far enough away from my base the raids never actually happen at all because I harvest before the raid occurs and then leave the area. Currently I'm working on building a long monorail to bring me most of the way out there across the water. Sometimes the best defense is not having to defend in the first place.

"Leve 10 Raid Has Unexpected Consequences!"

For everyone who is here after the title is fixed, that's what it was.

Mr. ScrapMan, when you place the haybot legs in front of the trap, the bosses hit it and then expose there. But if the legs aren’t there the bosses will fly farther back.
