Understand how FL Studio works, how to use the Channel Rack, route to mixer tracks, and arrange Patterns in the Playlist.

#FLstudio

FL Studio is different from almost every other DAW. When you have experience with a DAW like Pro Tools, Studio One, Cubase, etc... You will probably find FL Studio hard to wrap your mind around.

This video will clear everything up and show exactly how FL Studio works, and how you can use it to create a song fast.

In this video I am assuming you have experience with other DAW's. This tutorial is different from other FL Studio tutorials out there. I am not trying to show you "how to do X", though you will learn that along the way.

We will be focusing on the philosophy of FL Studio and how it's different from other DAW's.

You will learn how to use the Channel Rack, create Patterns, arrange Patterns in the Playlist, record audio, use plugins, use virtual instruments, use MIDI, and route the sounds in your Channel Rack to channels in your Mixer.

So, if you've ever tried to record something in FL Studio and you didn't understand why it was not tied to a track or mixer channel, this video is for you.

This video should have millions of views. So essential to understand the „weird“ workflow when you are coming from any other DAW. I wish I had found this esrlier. Would have saved me a lot of headaches.

Thanks! This was exactly what I needed. Having experimented a little with Cubase in the past and now starting with FL Studio I was going crazy trying to understand!

How can people not understand such a simple concept.

I love that FL is a music sandbox, you can do anything and its intuitive in the way its done, it just makes sense. You want to control this parameter for this specific clip and nothing else is affected? Do it, why not, why jump through hoops to mess with one clip. I love it

What I never seem to understand is How people make pattern parts but not have to recreate pattern 1 to add changes to pattern 2, 3 & so on. I wish the beat program I used to use was still around I could make multiple beats a day but FL is so Frustrating.

naming your video "the ultimate guide" is a misleading title, because of the latest version of FL you can make patterns, tracks and mixer channels linked with lock to content
then FL reacts like any other DAW (sort of) in the mix (mike miavono) explains this feature, and many others, take a look at his channel, you'll be amazed
