How To Fix Unable To Remove Payment Method Due To Active Subscription

Let's fix your Apple Pay if you're trying to remove a payment method like a credit card or debit card but it says you can't because you have an active subscription that your Apple ID needs to charge.

It says I can’t delete old card because I have a subscription but I go into subscriptions and it says no subscriptions but still won’t accept new card

What if in payment and shipping, the card info is red and says failed? I tried to cancel any subscriptions and I didn’t have any so, when I tried to remove my card, it still won’t let me because it says failed. 😅

Yeah that doesnt work at all. If you have active subscription, even if you cancel it, its still active and you cant delete the card. Which in case of year subscription is absolutely ridiculous.

Can someone please help me is cause my gf delete Facebook for an accident and when ever she tries to download Facebook it shows her a payment but i literally tried to delete it and it says about subscription but I actually cancel her subscription and tried to delete the payment and it says failed like it doesn’t let her remove the credit card payment

Just figured it out of months being stuck! This is what worked for me: My subscriptions were inactive (not sure if relevant). If you’ve got a new payment method set up, delete it. If you DON’T have a new one set up, do that first and delete it. Then remove the payment method that’s stuck 🎉
