For the record I hate Gilbert for what he did

This flashback scene doesn't make sense nor is it plausible. When Gilbert saw the witches it shows that Mary was on the Vacuum. Meaning that scene took place after the witches were incinerated, and when they were going to get the book back after seeing the beacon of light. And from what Alison said in one of the scenes, it was 5AM....in the morning. Why would a young child like that be out on his own during the night? Wouldn't his parents be worried about him? And wouldn't he have been asleep? Also wouldn't he have been effected by Sarah's singing? I know there is a deleted scene about the candy crows that induces the hypnotism. But they cut it out, so lets assume that Sarah's singing effects the kids regardless. It means Gilbert would have been at the Sanderson Sister's home then.
So Gilbert's story is inaccurate and implausible for it to work and was just a weak story plot and reason behind the witches return.
