Recorded 'Live in Concert' for the BBC, airing in the UK during January 1972. Although he was a member of BREAD at the time, this was a solo performance and neither Jimmy Griffin, Mike Botts nor Robb Royer made the journey across the Atlantic with him for this one...

65 years old, and this still gets to me. My teenage years in the 70s were the best, broken heart and all.❤

Beautiful song, love to return to 1971, and be a 16 year old teenager. In love with my cute girlfriend.

What’s hard to believe is you’re turning 80 this year David did the time go? God bless you and your family and Bread. You have shared your amazing voice and most beautiful songs ever written. Your music will never cease to bring joy and happiness to the world, not just me.

1973 born here with a Mother that always had her little black radio on with a piece of masking tape marking her favorite station. I grew up with Annie Dreamboat Annie, love that song, early Heart, Bread, Dan Fogelberg, The Moody Blues, etc. Sometimes I’ll play 70’s soft rock to calm down. Takes me back to playing on my swing set, blue skies smilin at me, no cares.🐝🦋🌻🌞

I've had one of their albums for about 45 years now. I am getting old and sure miss being young and innocent.

No computers at that time. Orchestra served very nicely. Thank you very much

There was a girl I loved with all my heart. She broke up with me with this song. 50 years later I still think of her.

Its as simple as this, David Gates with his band Bread wrote some of the most beautiful songs, he also had the perfect voice to sing them. Its a real shame you rarely hear his music on the radio today

I'm still in love with your voice, David Gates. Ever since I was a kid.
I noticed you and your wife will be married 60 years this year. Wow. That's amazing. Bless you both.
