Any reason for glue compressor vs drum bus?

increasing the attack with a compressor is of course a classic of sound engineering, but it is difficult to set up. now there are transient shapers with a very simple setup. why not use them?

Of course your drums are gonna sound punchier if you are applying +8dBs on the compressor without adjusting the gain to compare A/B
