Classic Wrath of the Lich King is pretty much confirmed to be coming out eventually for us to enjoy, but that's still a long way off, in the mean time, I figured we could have a look at some of the great things that Wrath of the Lich King added to the game and that you probably forgot about, from Heirlooms to Mount collection tab to glyphs and emblems system, today we're gonna see every little thing that you may have forgot about.

You left out the unique abilities each profession gives. Like increased hp for mining and crit rating for skinning.

if you played at the beginning when it released, do you remember the traveler mammoth, it has its own hp, so when you fall from higher place while you are mount, it only make mammoth die and you just jump off from it, and when you mount and dismount, it will be very slower than other mount. but they changed this at later patch.

I loved the Argent teleport tabard so you could teleport to the tournament grounds. Make sure to get exalted with Argent Dawn before LK starts!

Im new to wow, and i really enjoy it. I started playing in late classic, im raiding in TBC atm, and i can't wait to get to see WOTLK come to live, first time for me, and second for you all :))

On the Realm first part, it was also present in Cataclysm. With realm first being added to guild achievments too.

Levelling now in tbc in prep. Can’t wait, I remember really coming through as a wrath baby. Loved it.

I hated the idea of heirlooms. It literally defeated the main point of an mmo: progression. Going to deadmines with your lvl 19 alt and getting a blue weapon was exciting and felt like a big upgrade, as almost every new item. With heirlooms, this was completely lost. Almost every piece of gear you get from quests and dungeons is vendored off straight away. It might be faster lvling, but in a way it felt more like grind than exploration and development of your char than before.

No to the Heirlooms. Keep them as they were. The addition of further Heirlooms really killed that sense of progression you got while levelling. Maybe instead of adding more gear, they could do an event every few weeks to provide more exp to alts?

The emblem system was so good as a casual player. I can’t wait for it again

Classic should have had mount tab from the start. I feel like making mounts actually collectable would have helped keep people around

I feel like you underestimate the memory of wrath babies. I did in fact remember all of it, because many of these things are connected to quite fond moments or periods in the game - especially those heirlooms and recruit-a-friend bonusses. Got me an account full of level 80 characters by the end of wotlk =)
