A popular exercise for people with herniated discs includes cobras, Mckenzie pressups, and other extension exercises. But oftentimes these common herniated disc exercises or treatments make people feel worse. Yet, because they've been told that bending forward is bad for their discs... they stick with the recommended treatment, for fear of making things worse. If you have a herniated disc, it's actually quite common to feel worse doing pressups and other things that arch your back. When the traditional approach isn't working, it's time to explore something different. Oftentimes, people with herniated discs will feel better with flexion or forward bending. Slouching might infact make pain due to herniated or bulging discs feel better. The take home? Pressups are ok, cobra is yummy, hanging from door way gym is relief .. for the limited time I can hold on ...

I have fear cause anytime I lean forward my back will be out for weeks, and I mean a couple degrees forward, so my fear is real

This describes me exactly. So how would leaning forward look? Gently lean forward a few times to see what it does. Lean and hold?

Not helpful at all. Bending forward makes my condition worse. Not helpful.
