This clip causes people more anger than the issue itself 👍🏻

Your title of this video is very misleading you said you can change it from uh huh to yes. Thanks for wasting my damn time

I am so tired of "Siri" saying, "uha". It really pisses me off.

Siris “uh huh” response is ANNOYING AS FUCK!! I prefer her saying “yes?” Or “how can I help you?”

This is so stupid. I hate the new responses. Back when siri was better, I changed my nickname in the phone to “sir”, so siri would always respond with “yes sir?”, which was great! Politeness goes a long way. But now its always “uh huh” or “what”. I want a personal assistant, not a moody teenager. And as far as the dont wait for a response, just say the question “solution”. That doesn’t fix the problem where I say “hey siri” and say the question and stare at my phone waiting for a response only to find that she didn’t even hear me. Not to mention that it feels weird because thats not how people usually talk to each other. The whole situation is just idiotic. Why would apple make siri rude for no reason? Why is it so difficult for them to add a feature where you can turn off rude responses or turn on polite ones? Apple could so easily fix this problem but they don’t seem to care about their customers complaints! I know im not the only one here because Ive seen a lot of others complain about the same problem. Sorry for the rant but I gotta vent somewhere 🙃

Apple keeps making Siri stupider and ruder. Is Apple just giving us the finger?

Siri’s “uhhuh” response is annoying! This helps a little. However, we should be able to change it in the Settings. Please go back to the original response. I like that one better!

It sounds like seri is bothered by us Humans asking for information from the “Mighty Seri”. My last iPhone gave a responsible tone, it was good.

I wanted to force Siri to answer me with “Yes My lord?”. That would be great. Saddly it is impossible

I think if i address Siri by name then it’s only fair I get the same decency. I want Siri to say “Yes, Queen Kamilah! Like, who’s idea was it for siri to say “uhhuh?, umhmm?” How rude!

I use hey Siri to find my phone when I misplace it. I lost my phone in the desert on a hike I found it by walking and saying hey Siri until it responded….now it’s useless just like this video

It's not terrible that it says "Uh Hu, " and I'm guessing they are trying to make it sound more intuitive. Still change it up occasionally. No-one on earth responds with "Uh Huh" all of the time, so that is far from intuitive. I'll admit, even when it always said "Hello, " it eventually became tiresome. Still at least "Hello" was respectful, for a monotonous computer voice. "Uh huh, " sounds like a bratty kid. Just like we are able to put spoken alerts into iCal on a desktop, it would be nice if we could leave a planned greeting. Then when we get dick of it, we can change it. I got sick of "uh Huh, " only after one response. For example when we say "Hey Siri, " give us choices, such as "Yes James, how can I help, " or "I'm here", and Hello, "Yes, " or over here Even a "Hello James, let me close the pod bay doors, " is better. Sure Siri can also throw a "Uh Huh", sometimes into the mix, but by only speaking "Uh Huh, " is boring and childish.

I left a help ticket with Apple over this issue. Here is what I said to Apple. "Please stop SIRI from saying "uhuh". Its annoying and Id rather not use SIRI than put up with that disrespectful sounding response. It sounds like a 12-year-old answering you; of which I would immediately correct if it were my child. At least give us an option to choose between proper and respectful language or punkass attitude. "

"Here's how to fix the problem...."
(Long winded description of how not to fix the problem)
Finally ends with "there's no way to do it".
I almost never downvote a video on Youtube, but today I did.

I don't feel like it's disrespectful personally, but it's so annoying. It's timed so poorly. I like to say "Hey Siri" and pause while I wait for acknowledgement that Siri heard me (because yes, if I don't pause Siri will often not trigger and I end up wasting my breath). So usually if I'm listening to music, I'll wait for the music volume to lower as confirmation that Siri heard me. And then I'll start asking my question, and Siri will interrupt with an "Mhmm?"And then I have to ask again, and then it picks up that I said it twice, or when I pause briefly to restart it'll take my interrupted question and I inevitably get a "I'm not sure what you mean" or something along those lines. Why can't we change it so "hey siri" triggers the same sound as holding the off switch? It's a mellow little beep, and it's so much more pleasant and more natural than Siri's poorly timed "mhmm".

Siri freaking BLOWS. As do most things on iPhone when compared to android... besides the most important things, which Apple surprisingly does better, and why sticking with iPhone can be worth it.
