how to make a Contact Management System with Python [sqlite3 and tkinter]

In this video we are gonna build a contact management system with python! it is as well gonna consist of a database and a GUIi[graphical user interface] we are gonna use sqlite3 for the databsae and tkknter for the GUI, and if you don't know any of them please don't worry i explained everything that you are gonna need to build this project!!!

BTW @25:00 when you prevent creating repeated objects and empty objects with those conditionals, it could also be done from pure SQL commands as well, right??? Like by adding the NOT NULL command and the UNIQUE constrain to at least one of the fields when you create the table... is that right?
Are those 2 approaches interchangeable or is there any particular specific reason to use either or ????
