I asked my dad when i was a kid “ how can u tell what’s a weed”? He said, “ anything u don’t want there” he also told me that sometimes pp found dinosaur eggs under dandelion and handed me a weed shovel. FYI never found any

My Mum had a lantana in Rockhampton, Q. but she kept in contained and maintained. There is no excuse for laziness. Have an attractive "weed" plant by all means, just don't allow it to spread like a weed. Short and simple.

The random rose bush that started growing in a corner of my lawn where I want an open space was a weed. The grass growing up onto the path by the house is a weed. The clover that I enjoy sprinkled around my lawn is not a weed.

We have native lantanas in Texas that are yellow, orange, and pink. Since they are native they are hearty and great for landscaping.

I have a thick book on weeds of america. I have never see more beautiful flowers in my life. It's a shame that weeds don't get the same respect as flowers even though some blow away most flowers. Just like moths that are just a beautuful as butterflies and just as important as a polonator but are not as important 😢

Lantana is a very useful plant, gets rid of bed bugs, believe me it's true, there was a time when my bedroom got invested with bed bugs, I told my mum n she told me to get the leaves off this plant n put all over the room, on the bed, under the mattress on my dressing table etc., in two days everything disappeared in never had big problem again.

One of the worst weed species we have in Victoria is agapanthus.... the bireds eat the seeds and drop them into the bush... (any plant that is not native to Australia that has seeds should be carefully grown)
