I got to work for Phil two years ago when they had the first group of engineering interns in the machine shop. I've yet to meet anyone who even approaches the knowledge he has about machining and manufacturing. I haven't seen another machine shop put together as well as Phil has done at Hamilton. If you're a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering student, go work for Phil. 10/10.

I appreciate the detailed tour. It's amazing to see how much manufacturing impacts daily life. Phil's passion and enthusiasm for problem solving are commendable. A leader's attitude greatly influences the team as a whole.

It’s amazing where titan started and now he’s able to go out and actually talk to different manufactures I dream of the day if I get to do that I’m only 16 and I work with my dad machining 5 axis parts and I’m expanding my capabilities every day

Years ago I was at an Industrial machine show and there was this Huge, Expensive automated production machine running.... I asked what does it make? 🤔( how silly he showed me and said Plumb Bobs out of brass IT... missed my chance to cash in on the Plumb Bob market and own a shop like this I think.😁 GREAT Video and a nice shop.

Love seeing all those American made Haas CNC in a factory that clearly knows technology. Says a lot when a shop with the latest DMG Mori's, Matsuura's and Citizens is still buying and operating a fleet of Haas CNC's! Boom!

Very impressive shop and machines. Here, in New Jersey, big shortage of Machinists. Very challenging times. The training period for a newbie is long and during that, the pay is pretty low. many start and leave. The hunt now is for tech students out of community colleges.

I was hired as a Manufacturing Engineer at the Hamilton Company in 1999. The employee morale was horrible! I only lasted 1 year. It sure is different now!

Great tour would have liked to see receiving, shipping, and especially quality control. Maybe for future tours of large facilities an aerial drone shots of compound to give additional context as to scale. Ray

I know this is something that you guys will probably never inform your viewers about since you have your specific sponsors like Kennametal etc but:

It would be really interesting if we could for example know which specific endmill that this company favor above all else.

Its difficult to really get to test endmills for me since I only run prototypes. I have my favourites but its always a guessing game since I dont run production. Ive seen the cheapest shite from China doing AMAZING full depth cuts but then suddenly just breaking with no warnings.

The best allround endmill Ive found is the TiSi coated endmills from Holex. It will cut everything. For aluminum and plastics the Alupower endmills from YG-1 are by far the best Ive ever tried =)
