The Quiet Places Still Exist - Full Album

The third album by Caramel Treat. (That's Me!)

Created over the span of nearly two years, The Quiet Places Still Exist is a rhythmic, ambient, and melodic instrumental contemplation of those spaces which we often overlook. Those which are still there, even if they don't cross your mind often anymore. Those which others seek refuge in, hiding from the noise of the world. Those which will always persist, one way or another.

I have a lot to say on this album, so if that interests you at all, then please, check out this page on my website.

Additionally, to tease the release of this album, I released an ARG (alternate reality game), which is a series of online puzzles and codes you can solve to learn more about something. You can find that here.

Thank you to those who helped and gave feedback as I worked on this project. This is dedicated to the future.

The Youtube algorithm randomly dropped this album in my lap. As a musician who has been struggling to feel in touch with my emotions the same way since my saxophone was destroyed last year the day after my birthday, I want you to know that your album helped me a ton just now. Chrysalism made me remember playing my gameboy games as a kid and going to a rent a center in Florida that had a sonic heroes demo connected to the Home Entertainment System on display. The day was humid but it was nice and cool inside with sunlight streaming through impossibly high windows for a 10 year old. I cried a lot just now and I'm so grateful for it. My connection to my music has been the place that keeps my inner child alive and vice versa. I've felt so disconnected over the past year and just....empty. While listening, I felt a gut wrenching sadness that I can't go back to those days when I would play games on my Playstation over and over just to rock out to the soundtracks one more time. I'm just some 29 yo dude who fixes computers and used to tour in a band but for 4 minutes and 52 seconds I was 10 again. Thank you for that.
Edit: Also, if it wasn't clear already, you've got a new lifetime fan.

The first main instrument sounds like my grandmother's doorbell and it messed me up for a second. 10/10

Hey now this is something! A lot of these are somber and mysterious, yet some have a certain lost wonder. Like you're searching for something. Braving fearful scenarios in a beautiful, yet unfamiliarly spooky place

You're speaking to my soul here. I kind of feel like I'm getting a taste into another world you keep inside your heart, whoever you are. Your art reminds me of the story I'm plotting because it feels like they both have roots in dreamy stuff like scps, horror and indie games, abstract and fantastical shows or books, liminal spaces, surreal photography.

When I listen to this, I imagine a kind of desolate world, dark and silent. Maybe the place has a twisted, murky history and now there's strange things lurking around in the dark. Mysteries that bleed from under the floorboards of abandoned houses or remain hidden above the smog made by an old factory. I think there's beautiful things too. A village of kind creatures tucked away in their warmly lit cottages that they managed to keep safe at the ends of the world. There could even be two wanderers who both like to travel the ruins on their own. Though, every month they've decided to meet out in this long-untouched garden to catch up. They sit on a bench under a lone street light and share small gifts they salvaged, some cured meat from across a river they were told not to cross, a story of how one out-smarted a creature that was stalking them, every strange observation. Maybe they'll settle there together when they're older, bring the other friends they've made over the years, and start a new village...

I'm losing it-
Love the music <3

Wonderfully obscure. _That Irregular Cloudscape_ is quite good, glad to have found this.

Wow, I'm so glad YouTube recommended this to me! Love the music, I really does capture the vibe of seeking something deeper, whether that be within a mystery or ourselves, but sometimes those too blend when viewing things through our eyes. 😄

You've got a unique sound. I notice a lot of influences (some of which I'm sure are entirely in my own head) that I appreciate greatly.

mmm reminds of some dreams I had that I'll never get back to. Atleast I can be here though. I'm happy I found this and happier you made this.

Sometimes I remember our current house before we moved in and how strange it was. I may be adjusted now, but there's rooms that are gone now. I know those rooms and spaces and little bits were once there. Oh well though.

I hope i can hear your music in a game someday.
