Okay but thinking about this makes me realize how buffed the death angels were after this movie. After the little kid died the dad was running and making a lot of noise but somehow didn’t get attacked right after? It would usually break open vehicles and kill the other kids but plot armor I guess.

The weakest part of the plot is... the core of the plot - those monsters who have keen ears.

If the creature can hear a tiny sound kilometers away, that means, the loud sound will definitely hurt it. The very loud sound will simply damage it`s hearing organs and, due to creatures` blindness, make them completely disabled. Did you ever hear the sound of tank engine in a close range? - I did. It is very loud . Same for the jets, ships, shots and explosions.

So all that ''battle'' between the aliens and men`s modern armies does not make any sense - aliens will lose before humans make their first shot.
