Thanks for having us. Repping Illinois! We really enjoy level headed conversations. We rated you 5 stars on Doordash.

SavageGeese inspired me to choose an old Lexus instead of a modern iPad car, and The Car Care Nut helps me keep it running. Thanks to both of these powerhouses.

Retired engineer here. The higher cost of parts worries me the most. Plus, vehicles should be designed to simplify repair.

Savagegeese reviewed my 2016 Corolla and called it a appliance that gets you from point a to point b.Well it has 150, 000 miles on it and still has original brakes, air conditioning still works good, no dash rattles and has only been in the shop once for a Toyota recall to update a software glitch many years ago.

Traded my problematic 2020 m340i for a 2023 Camry. I miss the performance but not the headaches. Sometimes, the greatest luxury is reliability.

The two greatest channels for people who are actually shopping for cars, no nonsense reviews. Thanks for the great work.

Speaking of expensive car repair. I have a 2024 Genesis GV70 2.5T Sport Prestige. Two months into ownership, the 3D digital gauge cluster went on the fritz. It was replaced under warranty. I signed the repair bill, and it was over $12, 800! The part itself was over $8K, and labor was just over $4K. I usually keep my car for 10 years or longer, but this is really giving me pause to whether or not to jump ship once the full warranty is up.

Everything Ahmed says in his videos is so spot on when it comes to the reality of the consumer experience. His thoughts always hit the nail on the head and I’m so grateful that he is making videos that reach across all generations of car owners.

The costs are absolutely prohibitive. As a middle class earner, I won't spend $1, 000 a month on a new car payment. That's insane.

Money is worth less than before. We all know that.. the income is still the same thats the problem.

This was a legitimately interesting, no BS, no monsense conversation. Thank you for taking the time to speak to the viewer, not at them. The car industry is fascinating, and I enjoy the discussion on the business side of the business, not just the latest and greatest features. Keep up the great work!

This was an excellent discussion! Thank you for your insights. I also truly appreciate the fact that you were so respectful of each other, and allowed each person to speak without interrupting and / or talking over them!
I watched the video from Savagegeese that reviewed a 2018 Hyundai Accent. I liked the simplicity and cost and purchased a new 2020 Accent SE with 6 speed manual. I have had excellent reliability in the 71, 000 miles that I've put on it. I understand all of the problems that Hyundai and Kia have had with many of their engines. I certainly did not know of the latest round of recalls before I purchased my car, they hadn't been issued yet. I hope for the best and don't read and research where my non GDI non turbo 1.6 liter engine falls under the recalls and problems that some owners are faced with. I also change the oil every 3750 miles with full synthetic oil and high quality filter. I have always respected Toyota and still do, but even Toyota and Honda are faced with multiple recalls nowadays. I'll keep my Hyundai as long as makes sense; generally 200, 000 miles and hope for the best! Thank you again guys! Please do more videos together!!

having too many options causes unhappiness. I'd rather have super-simple, but very high quality. the "bling" quickly wears off, but true quality is something you learn to appreciate more as time goes by. the more stuff you own, the more it owns you.

Jack makes a great point on the prices of cars now vs the 90’s and inflation but misses a key point. Although inflation may mean cars cost the same still, inflation doesn’t drive wages, it drives prices. Prices when adjusted for inflation may be close, but wages are not.

Missed a hugely important point. People’s wages have not increased at the rate of inflation. This means yes cars are more now than they were. Affordability is the point. What company pumps out products without trying to factor in affordability?

An incredible conversation between honest and knowledgeable people who truly know cars and the industry. No hyperbole but rather measured discussion is welcomed by this viewer. Between the Geese and CCN an entire documentary could and should be produced. Well done.

The two best automotive channels on youtube together, truly awesome.
Hope there's more of this collaboration in the future.
