Ruud Gullit is a Dutch football player who played professionally in the 80s and 90s. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He was captain of the Dutch team that won Euro 1988, and was a member of the team at the 1990 World Cup and Euro 1992.

At club level he started his career at HFC Haarlem before moving to Feyenoord. In 1985 he was bought by PSV where he scored 46 goals in 68 games. In 1987 he moved from PSV to AC Milan for a record transfer fee. Gullit won three Serie A titles and two European Cup titles with AC Milan. In 1995 he signed for Chelsea and a year later was appointed manager of the club's players.

Gullit won the Golden Ball in 1987 and was named player of the year in the world in 1987 and 1989.

What a player he was! I enjoyed his book "How I watch soccer" where he exposed his vision of football, and sppke of a lot details when he was a player and a manager, there’s so much to learn in it, like how to analyse a football game and spot patterns of play etc. Ruud is a LEGEND!

At the time he came to Chelsea he was often the best player on the pitch even when Chelsea would lose the match he always stood out.
