It always satisfying seeing your own design become reality. I remember designing a big banner to cover a wall for a cafe, the visitor make it as a background for photos and selfie, makes my heart over the moon 🤩

I quit my job doing graphic design for an architect [even though I loved it] because it just wasn't going anywhere. Now I'm doing a mechanical engineering apprenticeship & this story makes me realise there _are_ other opportunities out there, and sometimes it takes training in another sector to gain the skills a company is looking for, even if you end up transferring later on 😀

I think I'm more creative than technical, but am really enjoying hands-on training as it's challenging me in a new way, and although I see myself having some sort of design career, it's incredibly helpful to understand how things work and to learn how to push boundaries and be curious, and test and refine components to achieve better results and have an innovative mindset.
