Darche Nebula 2400 Swag

Is it a swag? Is it a tent? Maybe it’s a little of both. The brand new Nebula 2400 from Darche has had us scratching our heads, so we decided to take it out for a spin on the shop floor of Snowys HQ to see what it’s all about.

This shelter is constructed from super high quality canvas – making it weather resistant and appropriate for four season use. For summer nights, unzip the doors and windows for some air flow, or in wet and wintry weather - zip her all up and chuck on the fly. The generous head height, spacious interior and stunning 360° views all add to the uniqueness and livability of this swag and tent hybrid.

How do you think this would stand up to some serious wind? And it looks like it would seal up well to keep sand/dust out? Assembly time aside, how do you think this would compare to something like the Oztent RV4 / 5 - ? (the Oztent is obviously much faster to pitch but it is a similar price & bulk).

when is a swag not a swag. Also, though the quality of canvas, mesh and poles is great; from observation of many of these end frame plus ridge pole designs, without cross bracing/geodesic support, those large areas of the side walls sure do flap in and out during high winds. That makes for a noisy night while trying to sleep, even if they don't fully slap you on the face or fold over completely. Jut depends whether you want to be only a fair weather camper, and possibly let a stormy day cancel an extended stay.

I'm taller up top than bottom. And I'd like to see what your thoughts are on the smaller model "swent". I can't sit crouched for too long. I get cramps in my shoulders and neck. That's why I'm interested in the 1550.

Oddly enough I can't seem to find any reviews of this product on line? While this is helpful, there isn't one review by someone who's has bought the swag/test as opposed to a retailer trying to sell it.
