I always feel like animals have a way of knowing their time is coming and telling their people. In his last days of life, my bunny groomed himself while sitting in my lap and groomed me multiple times, neither of which he had ever done in his 12.5 years of life. Mocha knew his time was coming and gave you a beautiful memory before he passed. I’m very sorry for your loss ♥️

I found your channel because my daughter now owns a rabbit. She is probably about the same age as you. I rarely comment on YouTube, but THANK YOU for being transparent and brave in telling your story of your mental health issues. I know for sure this video has, and will continue to, help others who have anxiety, depression, or any other brain chemistry disorder that so many humans experience. Also - kudus for ditching the hair and make up. I am not against someone doing their hair or make up, but you should do it because YOU want to do it. How your hair, skin, or nails look is not related to how valuable you are. What makes you wonderful is not how you look on camera (or in person). What makes you special is that there has never been, nor will there ever be again, YOU. You are the only person who can leave a "you-shaped" mark on the world around you. Now I am going to buy some of your merch to support!!

Girl it’s fine there are tons of dolled up people for everyone to watch. Many of us also appreciate non dolled up creators. No worries.

After my bunny died ..I constantly see him in my dreams..I don't believe in those things but I feel his presence sometimes around his favourite spots..I never thought I would love a bunny like I did😔❤️

Thank you for sharing your story. At the end December it'll be a year since our lop boy passed away. He was super healthy, even had his blood checked, just in case, vaciinated, perfect bunny diet. Then, in just a few hours, a vet visit and sudden death, right in front of our eyes . He was just 3. It really broke and traumatized us. And no one around understood how we could grieve for a rabbit like this. He was our little buddy, always happy and loving, a literal ray of sunshine even on darkest of our days. And to see that ray of light convulse in pain and die, and you can do nothing to stop it.. it changes you forever. I never heard my boyfriend scream like this. Hearing other people talk about the same pain really makes it easier, makes you feel understood. So thank you again. Your bun had the best life and best owner friend, and in the end I believe that's what matters the most ❤️ lots of love

Yes, The lop rabbits are not a good choice of breed as for all the issues you have noted. You are not alone in finding the breed having these very big problems that become insurmountable. At the least many hours and expenses of vet care and suffering for the rabbit. They should not be allowed to breed. They look cute but these issues are real and those who promote the breed are unethical and should know better. You are brave to talk publicly about your experiances. We have had 25 years of rescuing rabbits in California of all breeds and found your experiance not unusual. For those new to rabbits and buying for cuteness and for children. These rabbits are not a good choice. David Harron

Losing a bun is very difficult. Sometimes we never know why they pass away. They are very fragile and people sometimes don't realize how much work they require. 💗🙏

i completely understand where you're coming from. one of my rabbits is a holland lop (deaf too) and i really don't think i could ever own another one again. he's only 2 but when he had barely turned 1 he got super sick and the vets had trouble figuring out why. we brought him to the vet bc he was having balance issues and kept falling over and flailing and at the time she told us "oh he has a deep inner ear infection, here's medicine for that" so we took him home and two weeks later he was much worse. he couldn't even stand up, i had to have him sat between two pillows inside of an old laundry basket bc if he wasn't sandwhiched between something he would just roll forever. took him back to the vet and they ran some tests and told us he most likely had e cuniculi, which was super hard to hear. They gave us medicine and said if he didn't improve within 2 weeks he would probably pass away. Which was awful to hear bc he had JUST turned 1 yr old. He was so sick he couldn't eat, drink, use the restroom by himself. I literally had to syringe feed him water and critical care every half hour for almost a month straight. I am honestly surprised he survived, i didn't think he would. But by a miracle he made a full recovery, he doesn't even have a head tilt anymore. I'm so glad he did recover but i never want to go through something like that again. I've owned dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, rats, bugs, and i've never had to go through something like that with a pet. It was terrible. This turned into a very long comment but yeah owning lops is not easy and i wish people would have told me about all the complications they can have before i got one.

My first rabbit was a lop. He was a rescue and had "snuffles" when I got him which my vet treated with penicillin injections. He was great for awhile and then got a horrible ear infection which got worse and worse. (Lops are suseptable to ear infections because the way their ears flop over causes the era canal to be permanently closed which encourages infection). After months of antibiotics he ended up having a lateral wall canal ablasion on each ear followed by a total ear canal ablasion in each ear-difficult and potentially painful operational proceedures. He was at the vets for weeks for pain control and then came home. His little bunny wife (not a lop) was with him throughout to keep him company. The vets made many mistakes (I wont go into here)including not enough antibiotic protection. He was pts shortly after coming home- the infection remained and there was nothing else the vet could do. I was devistated after everything he had been through and all the assurances from the vet that "he would be ok" I have since fostered two lop girls both elderly and both with eye issues. I was their "retirement home" and they were to stay with me for the rest of their lives. One was pts as the eye issue had many complications and the other girl is on permanent eye drops. I agree 100% that the ethics of lop breeding is questionable. They are adorable but come with a whole host of potential health issues

This story made me cry I could never go through this or talk about that ever again. I'm sorry this ever happened to you, and I'm sorry this ever happened to him.
