US President Joe Biden delivered his State of the Union address to Congress on Thursday, making the case for his re-election to a primetime TV audience.

It included repeated swipes at Donald Trump and covering the broad themes of his re-election campaign.

He accused his likely election opponent of "bowing down" to Russia and criticised him over the Capitol riot.

Biden also covered immigration, abortion, the economy and Gaza.

The atmosphere in the House chamber was raucous at times, with loud cheering from Democrats and heckling from some Republicans.

I think this president will be remembered and honoured as one of the greatest presidents the U.S.A. has ever had, and that the previous president and his main competitor in the forthcoming elections later this year in the U.S.A. will be remembered as one of the worst!
